Day 2 -
Route: Pacific - Caribbean Barqueta beach - Alanje - David - Caldera 8.30am Tour introduction and safety briefing before we head out for a day of riding. With an early start, we head off along the pacific beach and then on to fast sandy trails from the beach through small villages and then across a boulder-strewn river and then through sugar cane fields. Right before David, we come to a canyon where the river destroyed the bridge so the only way across is to lower the bikes down the canyon side by ropes! This is optional as we have a chicken line around this! Refuel in David, then we reach the trails of San Antonio and El Valle which are super fun flowy tracks intersected with short technical sections leading up to Caldera. Lunch is at the small town of Caldera and if we have time after lunch, we can visit the nearby natural hot springs. A short ride leads us to our stay for the night Rio Encantado which is situated alongside the river. Route: Caribbean - Pacific Bocas Del Toro 9am Beach and jungle riding today with some cool spots along the way. Leaving Bocas town, we ride on the sandy track skirting the ocean to the area of Bluff famous for the amazing beach and great waves for surfing. Passing Bluff, we hit the trail system which is a mixture of jungle and beach riding. Our first stop will be the ruins of General Noriega’s airstrip that he used to fly in drugs from Pablo Escobar back in the day. From there we ride along the beach trails to “La Piscina” which is a secret hidden bay perfect for a swim. Continuing along the beach trail we will head towards the “Blue Lagoon” another secret spot full of underwater caves perfect for snorkeling. For the advanced riders we can go further through the swamp to check out the “Bat caves”. From here we will head back along the “Jungle highway” and check out some of the trails heading into the jungle. Lunch is on the beach back at Bluff’s and after lunch we can cruise to the other side of the island to Boca Del Drago to finish the day off with a cocktail at Starfish beach.
Day 3 -
Route: Pacific - Caribbean Caldera - Boquete 9 am Starts in the town of Caldera with a constant climb up to the mountain town of Boquete. The trail will have some challenging sections with creek and river crossings and technical rocky areas, but we always have alternate routes so whatever your riding level is we have the trail for you. At midday we will ride to the area of Jaramillo for lunch at the Mirador which has spectacular views of the Volcano and the town of Boquete below. After lunch we will ride as far as we can up to the Volcano through some challenging farm trails and then down to Boquete through some coffee farms. We will stop at Don Pepe Coffee shop to sample the world-famous coffee and some of their cakes. Tonight, we will be staying at Hotel Ladera in Boquete. Route: Caribbean - Pacific Bocas Del Toro - Hornito 11am Later start today with a water taxi ride through the islands and mangroves to an island called Loma Partida for lunch and some optional swimming and zipline fun! After lunch we will be travelling to the town of Chiriqui Grande where we will meet up with the bikes. Riding today will be up the Caribbean slope passing the Angel waterfalls on to the Fortuna dam. After the dam we have 2 riding options down the valley, both with spectacular views to our stop for the night at Horizontes Hotel.
Day 4 -
Route: Pacific - Caribbean Boquete - Gualaca - Hornito 9 am We are heading back down to the area of Caldera the first part of this morning; we have lots of options from easy farm trails to some hard enduro goat trails so take your pick. Whatever option we choose we will jump in some creeks and rivers along the way to cool down. A quick break in Caldera to drink some chicha (local fruit drink sweetened with sugarcane) and then we are off to the town of Gualaca for lunch either through some more hard enduro trails or more easier trails. After lunch at the cowboy bar next to the rodeo we will jump in the river at the slot canyon “Cangilones” for another cool down period. Now we will head along the Barrigon reservoir and then an uphill trail to Hotel Horizontes our destination for tonight. This hotel is on the top of the mountain with spectacular views all the way down to the Pacific Ocean. Route: Caribbean - Pacific Hornito - Gualaca-Boquete 9 am A few different trails to choose from this morning from easy flowing to some more technical single tracks descending from the mountains through farmlands we will arrive at the Barrigon reservoir. A fast run alongside the reservoir brings us out to the small town of Gualaca famous for its slot canyon with crystal clear water. A picnic style lunch is alongside the canyon and take advantage to jump in the river to cool off. After lunch we have more choices of trails to take us up to the mountain town of Boquete where you will be staying the night at Hotel Ladera.
Day 5 -

A short section of paved road is next the winds its way around the reservoir and down the mountains to the Caribbean slope passing on the way the 3 Angel hair waterfalls. Halfway down the slope we hit the trail again that takes us out to the port of Chiriqui Grande.
