Day 1 - Sunday - Arrival in Medellín
Arrive at José María Córdova International Airport, where our team will welcome you and escort you to our operations base to set up your bike. We’ll adjust controls and suspension for a custom fit to start the adventure comfortably. Afterward, settle into Lagoon Llanogrande for the night, where a tranquil, countryside setting awaits you. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from the airport, surrounded by lush landscapes and a peaceful lake, and offers a complimentary continental breakfast with both regional Antioquian and international options.
Day 2 - Monday - 111 KM - Llanogrande to Sabaletas to Santa Bárbara
The day kicks off at our base in Llanogrande (2,200 meters elevation) at 9:00 AM, with a scenic route leading through El Retiro village and down the “Puro Cuero” technical single track to Sabaletas (1,200 meters elevation), where routes are tailored to your skill level. Enjoy lunch at El Paraiso, renowned for its freshly caught, deep-fried trout, before exploring Sabaletas, where historic sites like the chapel and a waterfall await. The day ends at Adrenaline Hostel in Santa Bárbara, a charming mountain town surrounded by coffee plantations. Here, rooms for two or three guests offer both private and shared bathrooms, with breakfast included to start the next day right.
Day 3 - Tuesday - 86 KM - Santa Bárbara to Cauca Viejo
We depart from Santa Bárbara through scenic coffee plantations along a double-track route to Fredonia and the small town of La Mina for a refreshing stop before riding down to the picturesque Cauca River valley. After reaching Puente Iglesias (550 meters elevation), we make our way to Cauca Viejo, a replica colonial village where boutique accommodations and the main plaza offer the perfect spot to unwind. At Cauca Viejo Fundadores, where you’ll spend two nights, you’ll enjoy a stay that echoes the charm of Colombia’s colonial era, with beautiful courtyards and gardens. Breakfasts here feature locally-sourced ingredients in both traditional and international dishes, blending authenticity with comfort.
Day 4 - Wednesday - 70 KM - Cauca Viejo to Palocabildo to Cauca Viejo
Today, we explore Palocabildo, ascending via a double-track trail and a technical single-track that offers breathtaking canyon views, with a break at a local café along the way. Afterwards, we head through avocado plantations and return to Cauca Viejo for lunch. The afternoon is open for you to relax by the hotel pool or explore the scenic surroundings near the Cauca River.
Day 5 - Thursday - 87 KM - Cauca Viejo to Jardín
Departing from Cauca Viejo, we ride towards Puente Iglesias and then descend into the Río Frío valley, where riders can opt for the challenging “El Camino del Duende” technical path or an alternative route to Buenos Aires for a refreshing break. The day concludes in Jardín, a vibrant town popular for its picturesque charm and lively atmosphere. You’ll stay at Hotel Valdivia Plaza, located in Jardín’s main square, where modern comfort meets colonial charm. Here, breakfast is served at the hotel’s restaurant, providing a perfect start to your day.
Day 6 - Friday - 90 KM - Jardín to Río Sucio and Return
